Pros and cons of Sid Meier's Ace Patrol app for iPhone and iPad

Sid Meier's Ace Patrol app good for

At its core, Ace Patrol is a fun, challenging game. Each campaign requires different strategies because of the different planes and country-specific abilities (e.g. French pilots elude capture when making a forced landing in enemy territory). Unfortunately I found the controls to be finicky on my iPhone 6S. Sometimes I found myself making maneuvers I didnt intend.

It is a great game to play, quite challenging but if you want to have the complete fighter selection you have to pay and it gets expensive. To design your best planes and aces would be great!
Nice and easy to play. Could have better story, though. Yes, for more missions need to pay, but thats no reason for me to rate the game bad.
So nice to have a game that is enjoyable and not just a money grab. Has depth that does take awhile to catch onto. Since I got game I cannot put it down, I am a big fan of strategy games and this has that and much more. So I would to give this a 5/5 first game I have rated this high..........not a money grab, replay ability, depth, great fun.........enjoy and rate it this game deserves to be recognized

Some bad moments

This game is like a tax collector all they want is to take your money. Once you complete the training missions everything on the game costs money
AI can shoot farther than you can and this is a game killer. This is more of a demo as it wants you to pay for campaigns.
I really want to like this game. But it desperately needs an update.
The first mission is great. But wait it cost you to get the others. Okay, I like it, I will buy. Now into to campaigns. You get destroyed. I cant even do the dam missions because all my planes are being repair. That is on easy. Your planes get blown out of the sky.
What a joke of a game. The campaign is pointless, you get a choice of missions WHICH MEANS NOTHING. If your pilots get shot down then you are shorthanded and are more likely to fail future missions which ultimately forces you to skip entire sections of the campaign WHICH YOU PAY FOR WITH IAP. Later in the game the enemy get cheating maneuvers which lets them completely reverse and shoot you MAKING SETTING UP ATTACK ANGLES POINTLESS!! Overall a joke of a game save your money and time.
Great strategy mechanics. Just a shame about the nickel and dining. Bought the British campaign but had to sit out a third of it because my pilots were captured, and theres no way to recruit new pilots, so you get to sit out a tonne of missions........ unless you want to fork out more dough to release them, of course.
